9:30 a.m. Opening Keynote – Trends in Hispanic Consumer Behavior

The Hispanic market has grown in financial power since the first Hispanic Television Summit.  Today, there are nearly 58 million Hispanics, representing about 18% of the total US population. Hispanic buying power exceeds $1.5 trillion annually. Over the past fifteen years, Latinos have become increasingly bi-cultural. They are impacted by an expanded selection of outside influencers like celebrity endorsements, political pressures, online retail, digital video and social media, as well as traditional TV and radio.  This leading expert will share new insights about this consumer segment, creative strategies for effectively communicating with Hispanics, and will provide a perspective of how advertisers are reaching the “new” Latino consumer.
